From 0 to 100 km/h
Pressing the accelerator unleashes 397 kW of breath-taking performance, which is directly transferred from the rear wheels onto the road. In doing so, the mid-engine concept also offers very high stability and thus, a higher curve speed despite the rear-wheel drive. The axle load distribution of 40.4: 59.6 and the suspension and driving dynamics fine-tuning, especially adapted to the rear wheel drive, ensure enormous driving pleasure.
What may seem mundane at first, will make your heart beat faster: the 5.2 litre V10 FSI engine in the Audi R8 Spyder V10 RWS provides great thrust. It accelerates the convertible with its 540 hp (397 kW) at 7,800 rpm⁻¹ to 320 kilometres per hour. Even more impressive: the maximum torque is 540 Nm at 6,500 rpm⁻¹ with a cubic capacity of 5.204 cubic centimetres. These figures promise real driving pleasure. The new R8 Spyder V10 RWS implements this in a way that is unmatched.
Performance in every part

In addition to its unique drive, the specially tuned R8 V10 RWS sports suspension with a tightly balanced spring-damper combination ensures even more direct road contact and more dynamic handling. The chassis set-up and the control systems allow controlled drifts when the driver selects the "dynamic" mode in the standard driving dynamics system, Audi drive select, and sets the stability control (ESC) to "sport". The ESC intervenes safely at the limit.
